One of my favorite restaurants in Boston is Island Creek Oyster Bar in Kenmore Square. It is currently ranked #2 top restaurant on TripAdvisor. Being a seafood lover, I really appreciate the fresh and delicious seafood dishes served at ICOB. I also love the beach theme and sleek decor of the restaurant; the back wall is made entirely of oyster shells! Plus, the service is top-notch every time. Everyone should start the ICOB experience with raw oysters. The signature type is Island Creeks, which are known for their briny taste and sharp flavor. Slap Happy

Last week while I was chatting on the phone with my cousin who lives in Salem, MA, she mentioned her newest kitchen gadget that she just can’t get enough of. When I told her that I’d never heard of it she was taken aback. So I did a little research of my own, and I, too, soon became seduced by the wonder of what is the Slap Chop.

Tuesday brings rain! Summer has ended!

I started Monday morning by a visit to the Popponesset Marketplace to pick up some half and half and ice coffee at the Country Store and some muffins at the bakery across the way.  It had the last of the season feel as I walked around.

 
Most of the stores and the mini golf have closed for the season. The Country Store will be open daily on a daily basis but for fewer hours during the week and longer hours on the weekend till October or until business drops and it is time to close for the season.   The Raw Bar …
