I had the pleasure of meeting Peter Deveraux this past May when we did our annual visit to the clinics at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute kicking off Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer 2012. One week ago today, I started the day quite early around 5 am, desserts in hand getting ready to meet my team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to do our annual radio and TV drop-offs. Every year La Petite France Café in Hyannis participates in Boston Bakes they select a favorite dessert of someone they know who has been touched by breast cancer.
They take Boston Bakes to heart each year and put a name, a face, a story and a dessert to our event and they make it their own event! It gives Boston Bakes a personal touch which takes Boston Bakes to another level.

Another week has gone by and now we have over 140 participating in this year’s Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer. We would like to welcome Gennaro’s North 5 Square Ristorante in Boston to their first Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer. It was a week of spending time seeing who is participating from last year. We are happy to say 120 from Boston Bakes 2010 have already signed up for Boston Bakes 2011! We are not done and are working very hard to surpass what we did last year. With time on our side, we can do it!
