I know I was suppose to tell you more about my ice cream experiences at the Fancy Food Show, but with my business done in DC after 10 days I am going home!
Yes it is a bit on the early side but I decided to stop into Vino Volo at the airport and have a quick snack.
Unfortunately they did not have any Italian red wines for me to try but their special wine was a sparkling Virginia Chardonnay. I must admit I did not know Virginia produced wines. Rachel was very helpful in giving me a history of Virginia winemaking. I am so glad I tried the Thibaut-Janisson Blanc de Chardonnay. It was a light and refreshing sparkling wine that went well with the tapas I ordered.
It was a great way to end my Virginia adventure. Now it is time to get back to Boston and work!
