Christina Applegate new mom!

Christina Applegate, founder of the breast cancer charity Right Action for Women is now the proud mama of a baby girl!  Christina became a first-time mom last Thursday when she welcomed Sadie Grace LeNoble into the world. The little tyke weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz. and both mommy and baby are doing just fine.
In 2008, after receiving her breast cancer diagnosis, Applegate created the foundation to educate women about what it means to be at “high risk” for breast cancer and encourage them to talk to their doctors about appropriate screening.

It takes a lot of work to make Boston Bakes a reality!

Another week has gone by and now we have over 140 participating in this year’s Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer.   We would like to welcome Gennaro’s North 5 Square Ristorante in Boston to their first Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer.   It was a week of spending time seeing who is participating from last year.  We are happy to say 120 from Boston Bakes 2010 have already signed up for Boston Bakes 2011! We are not done and are working very hard to surpass what we did last year.   With time on our side, we can do it!

Centerville Pie Co. Famous Chicken Pot Pie!

For all of you that love Oprah and the Centerville Pie Company, they now ship direct!
It was crazy at Centerville Pie Co in Centerville, Massachusetts when I stopped by for lunch last Thursday afternoon less than one week after Kristin Broadley and Laurie Bowen had the surprise of their lives on the stage of the Oprah Show!
The Centerville Pie Co. reminds me of a small luncheonette with a counter and tables, simple and homey!  I sat at the counter next to probably one of the few regulars there.  She said for the past year since August of 2009, things were …
