According to the breast cancer data from Massachusetts Cancer Registry, the rate of breast cancer is about 20% higher in Cape Cod than in the rest of the state. To benefit the breast cancer community as a whole, this year, B4BC fundraises to assist Dr. Rachel Freedman’s research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for breast cancer patients over 65, the overlooked and the least funded group.

We are more than grateful to our kind and generous participating establishments, which share the same values as B4BC, aiming to support breast cancer research. “A worthy cause, we’ve done it for the past few years. We appreciate all your efforts to raise money for this research,” said Sam Monroe from Osterville Fish Market, which has participated since 2020. Ashlee Benjamin from Pain D’Avignon Café Boulangerie said, “Ownership is always on board when I ask about this event. It’s a good cause for sure and of major cancer due too many women. We love to be part especially since it is for the Cape and Islands.”
