Let’s savor the results and efforts of Boston Bakes 2013 for a little while longer!
What a week it was! Boston Bakes 2013 was dedicated to a very special and kind woman who lost her battle to breast cancer, Anna Guarino at the age of 60. She gave so much to her family and community and is missed by all who knew her. She lives in the heart of her family and friends. I am sure she watches over them as well as our event this year. I hope we made her proud.
This year we had more participants than the year before making it possible to be in over 100 Massachusetts communities!
We welcomed Stop and Shop to our Boston Bakes family where many of their Massachusetts locations joined Whole Foods, Roche Brothers and Sudbury Farms! Restaurant groups, family restaurants, bakeries, candy shops, ice cream shops got on board as they always do! This year we had many new participants as well. We welcome them to our family!
It is a community effort that makes Boston Bakes come to life. We are grateful to the support of the hospitality community, our participants who believe in what we do and support us to make our event come to life. We are grateful to those who order our Boston Bakes desserts, to those who shop on line and have desserts shipped to their home and to the home of their friends. Between our participants and those who enjoy the desserts that benefit breast cancer, we are grateful for your support. It is with your help we are able to raise much needed money for breast cancer research. We could not do it without all of you!
If you would like to do more until our next event in 2014, get involved by volunteering, donating and hosting a Bakes for Breast Cancer Bake Sale! Sponsor our organization and just see what more we can do!
We will keep you posted on how much money we raise from Boston Bakes 2013 and will let you know more about Boston Bakes 2014!
Let us know which your favorite dessert was! Share your pictures and stories with us! I am always asked which my favorite dessert was and I have to be honest, I have not met a dessert I did not like when it benefits a cause so close to my heart.
Together we can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. Thank you for being on this journey with us.
