Last year I had hope Isabelle’s CurlyCakes would be participating in Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer 2010 but unfortunately the space at 81 Charles Street in Boston was not finished in time.  I am happy to say that Isabelle’s CurlyCakes is now open and will be participating in Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer 2011 which is scheduled for May2-8th!  We are very excited to welcome them to Boston Bakes along with Todd English’s Figs and Kingfish Hall!

Word about how good Isabelle’s cupcakes were heard well before the cupcake store opened in Boston!  Friends who ate at The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English in New York raved about the cupcakes saying they were the best cupcakes they ever had!

People magazine wrote how Katie Holmes had Isabelle’s cupcakes delivered to Canadian set of her History Channel miniseries! So much talk about the cupcakes yet we in Boston patiently waited!

The wait is over and Isabelle’s CurlyCakes is now open!  I tried the Triple Chocolate and was in cupcake heaven!  I understood what the buzz was about!  The cupcake was incredible! If you ever dreamed what you would want a cupcake to taste like, this would be it! It was so good, I really could have eaten two but I didn’t because these were not small cupcakes by any means!

Arriving early I had the pleasure of talking with Jessie Jackson maker of said extraordinary cupcakes!  I learned some very important lessons while there that I would like to share with you!

Red Velvet Cupcake is of course their best selling cupcake!  How it can beat the Triple Chocolate is a surprise to me, but I guess next time, I will have to try the Red Velvet Cupcake! The cupcakes were so fresh; I asked Jesse how do people treat the cupcakes when they get them home to keep them as perfect as they are at the store?

Here is how you treat the CurlyCakes when you get them home; Take them out of the box and put them in a tubberware type container with a cover and put the cupcakes in the covered container and refrigerate. The covered container will keep the moisture and any odors lurking in your refrigerator out and will keep the cupcakes at their freshest for 2-3 days!  The cupcakes are best if served at room temperature, if you can wait that long!

Make your way to Charles Street and stop in to Isabelle’s CurlyCake and find out for yourself how good a cupcake could be!
