I don’t know what made me buy Trader Joe’s Frozen Steel Cut Oatmeal but when I looked at the calorie count and the nutritional guide on the side of the box, I thought it was worth a try.  After buying one box, I went back to stock up my freezer with this handy good for you breakfast which tastes better than what I was having for breakfast before!

So now, I go stock up on the frozen oatmeal, get home take it out of the box and put in the freezer.  My problem is that it is not always in stock in and in the frozen food section where I usually find it.  So many times, I go home empty handed.

Is this because the oatmeal is so good it is hard to keep in stock or it comes in when it comes in and is not always available?  But that is the most frustrating part of liking something so much at Trader Joes, not always being able to go home with what you went in for.

So now my freezer is bare and I have to make another trip and hope on this visit to Trader Joe’s my oatmeal, my breakfast staple will be there waiting from me.  How do I make it, I follow the instructions and cook it for 2 minutes and stir but then I add fresh fruit, bananas, strawberries or blueberries or a combination of the bananas, strawberries and blueberries and cook for the next minute and a half and I have a great, healthy, tasty breakfast!

If you have a Trader Joe’s near you, give the frozen steel cut oatmeal a try and let me know how you like it!
