Today is the last day for the Fancy Food Show in Washington DC! What a food show it is with 180,000 products from 2400 exhibitors and 80 countries represented! I can’t wait to share with you some of the products I tasted, new products to look for at your market or specialty store and new food items for you to try!
I walked every aisle with my Official Show Directory in hand and wished I could have stayed longer or visited the show again because there were just so many samples I could try in one afternoon! I would have a hot sauce followed by chocolate then the olives were calling my name! Then there were the beverages! Oh my poor stomach and feet!
The show was on 2 levels and I started on one end and walked up and down each aisle on the lower lever of the Walter E Washington Convention Center before heading upstairs to visit more exhibitors!
I have a bag of cards with products I liked and will get them organized to tell you all about them! From candy, chocolate to truffle products and pasta, aloe water and a black water called blk that had fulvic acid added and tasted just like water but black! I even tried a wine ice cream that was so good! Oh what a journey it was!
But before I close for today, I would like to congratulate all the Sofi Award winners for their outstanding speciality foods and beverages! Great products deserve this high honor and I would highly recommend you try some of these award winning products! I must admit I am a big fan of Ciao Bella Gelato and Neuske’s applewood smoked meats and congratulate them and all the other winners on their Sofi Awards!
