The Trip of Curiosity!

Let’s call this a trip of pure curiosity because it is taking me to Italy an adventure of unknown possibility! Here I wait to board my American Airlines flight which I used my frequent flyer miles to get and then will take a British Airlines flight onto Pisa! It is then I will see friends I have not seen in more years than I would like to count!
How did this trip start, we’ll that is a long story! It is because of Facebook that it is taking place at all- a surprising place to reconnect with lost long friends! …

Vermont Eats

This past Columbus Day weekend, I visited Vermont for the first time to see the fall foliage, alpine slide and of course, explore the local good eats. Vermont is famous for the wide variety of cheeses, maple syrup, Lake Champlain chocolates, craft breweries, and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Here are the food highlights from my trip – hope you enjoy!

In Stowe, VT, I had dinner at the Solstice restaurant at the Stowe Mountain Resort and ordered the cheese plate from the menu. I picked out three cheeses (all locally made in VT): Cabot Creamery‘s signature cheddar (cow’s milk), Lake’s Edge …

My Summer Mini Vacation!

I am guilty of staying in my own backyard and not going outside the area to explore and have adventures!  Guilty I am!  This summer a mini family reunion took me to the Wequassett Resort in Harwich and let me tell you how much fun I had!  Did I mention how I did not want to leave? In fact you could say I would be very happy moving in and staying!
I can’t say I explored the area all that much but enjoyed the comforts of this very family oriented resort, from the cookies waiting for me upon check in and …

World Dessert Tour

“When in Rome, do as the Romans do” is a popular idiom meaning when you are visiting a different place or culture, you should try to follow their customs and practice. Whenever I travel, whether it be within the states or outside of the states, I try to eat what the locals eat. Today’s post will be about popular desserts around the world, specifically from the top 5 travel locations in 2012 according to The New York Times.

Sweet & Savory

If you don’t know this about me already, I have a huge sweet tooth; I love making and eating desserts. Some of my friends, however, are on the other end of the taste spectrum; they enjoy savory foods so much more. For a long time now, chefs have been experimenting different ways for those who want the best of both worlds. Let me share with you my experiences with sweet *and* savory foods that were intriguing, memorable, and surprisingly, tasty!

Middle Eastern Cuisine

As you hopefully I know I recently returned from an amazing trip to Dubai. The city itself was great, very modern and a cool place to visit but the one of the main parts of what made my trip so spectacular was the food. I want to share with you some of the wonderful things I ate while there but I don’t want this to just be a brag-post. Rather I hope this will be an inspirational post on food that you too can enjoy. Middle-Eastern food in general is something I love and it’s a great way to mix …

Plane Snacks

I know that in my last post I bragged about where I am, and I’m sorry that I have to do it again but you’ll see why shortly. Currently I am in the glamorous city of Dubai with my best friend. We are visiting her cousins who live here and are having a fabulous time. The weather is great, the sights are stunning and the food is well, truly delicious. I could post 10 things about all the delicious food I have eaten here so far but instead I’m going for a different more available post that everyone can enjoy, …
