Fortune Cookie Fever

Yesterday, as I was waiting for my iced soy hazelnut latte at my local coffee shop, the Barrista behind the counter had a bag full of “cookie crumbles” he was about the throw away. The broken pieces of cookie were still in perfectly good condition, they were just not whole enough to sell. And so, he willingly gave me two bags full of cookie pieces, as to avoid wasting the delicious desserts.

Salad City

Being a vegetarian means salad is one of my most beloved food genres. Packed full of nutrients and vitamins, with endless additions and options, salad never gets old for me. I usually have a salad for either lunch or dinner, sometimes both, whether it be a greek salad loaded with tomatoes, kalamata olives and feta, or a Carlton salad with candied pecans, raisins and avocados. I just can’t seem to get enough salad!

Starbucks free DESSERT “POP UP”.

Much to my delight, today I was treated to what could only be called a free Starbucks DESSERT POP UP.
I arrived in time for the Red Velvet Cupcakes, the cake was rich and moist and the frosting reminiscent of Sprinkles Cupcakes sour cream frosting.  Next came samples of donuts, vanilla cupcakes and spice cake, followed by hand passed trays of blueberry cake and holiday cake.
Then to my surprise, delicious heart warming mocha’s and lattes followed.  Every dessert was fresh, moist and delicious and worth ordering again.
