As my travels in Italy continue, one of the things I enjoy each time I visit Italy is having something so simple as a cappuccino. Little things make me so happy! During my visit to Livorno, on the Tuscany coast, I try to belly up to the bar each morning for my cappuccino. Here in Italy unlike the states, cappuccino is a morning beverage.

The Trip of Curiosity!

Let’s call this a trip of pure curiosity because it is taking me to Italy an adventure of unknown possibility! Here I wait to board my American Airlines flight which I used my frequent flyer miles to get and then will take a British Airlines flight onto Pisa! This past week, the James Beard Foundation celebrated the legacy of old and new chef’s alike.  All the celebration, James Beard Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award winner Marcella Hazan introduced fresh pure flavors of Italian cooking to Americans. Along with writing six cookbooks with her husband Victor, and teaching numerous cooking classes, she also introduced us to balsamic vinegar along with many others new “tasty” Italian ingredients.
