Pop-up Restaurant: The Spotted Tiger

 
I’m a fan of pop-up restaurants, ever since I tried Whisk in Boston – see my post here. The pop-up concept is all about different settings, very passionate young chefs, and a unique theme. On Labor Day, my foodie friends and I were very excited about dining at the newest pop-up in Boston, The Spotted Tiger. Boston Ramen Tour

Lately, all the rave has been about ramen noodles, which appeared on the list of 2013 Food Trends that are spreading across the US. In fact, it’s a major hit in Boston now, as mentioned in Boston Magazine. Like most people, my experience with ramen has been limited to pre-packaged and styrofoam cup versions – a staple back when I lived in the college dorms. Last year, I was introduced to a real bowl of ramen noodles served in a restaurant. Since then, I have tried almost all of the noodle bars in the Boston area and still hungry for more.

Restaurant Review: Strip T’s

Many notable restaurants and chefs in the Boston area made it to *the list* this year. I’m talking about the 2013 James Beard Foundation Award Restaurant and Chef semifinalists list. Does the name Tim Maslow sound familiar? For those who have not heard of him, Chef Tim was nominated for Rising Star Chef of the Year! He’s the chef and co-owner of Strip T’s in Watertown.

Boston magazine recognizes Dana-Farber physicians as ‘Top Doctors’

 
Boston magazine has named 57 physicians and surgeons affiliated with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to its Top Doctors guide. Published in the magazine’s December issue, the Top Doctors list consists of 650 Boston-area physicians from 57 medical specialties.
Dana-Farber provides adult cancer care with Brigham and Women’s Hospital as Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center and pediatric cancer care with Children’s Hospital Boston as Dana-Farber/Children’s Hospital Cancer Center.

Thirty-one Dana-Farber Cancer Institute cancer specialists were recognized by Boston magazine for being among the area’s top physicians.
Published in the December 2010 issue of Boston magazine, the “Top Doctors” list consists of 598 Boston-area physicians from 55 medical specialties who were included in Castle Connolly’s America’s Top Doctors survey.
