This dessert is for Colleen!

Boston Bakes 2011 was dedicated to the memory of our friend Colleen O’Farrell who we saw each year when we would visit the Fox 25 studio in Dedham during the week of Boston Bakes.

Scrambled eggs a la Gordon Hamersley

Recently I took a class at the BCAE in Boston which I will tell you about at another time with Gordon Hamersley from Hamersley’s Bistro in Boston. The class was incredible but again you will have to wait to read more about the class and why you should take any class that Gordon teaches.  He is a teacher and listening to him you learn so much and Gordon shares so much with you.  I wished the evening did not end!

But Jenny needs no education. She is a pro at shooting the segments, knows what she wants the segments to be, what needs to be taped and the shots …

Being a communications major, I have always been fascinated watching TV shows in the making. So far I have been to taping of game shows, sitcoms and food shows.
How did this journey start, well many, many years ago I dragged friends in LA to a taping of a game show.  Little did I know that a game show tapes a whole week’s worth of shows in one evening and lucky for me they still to do this day speak to me!  Years later when I was in LA with my daughter the only tickets to a show taping we could …
