My dog Kudzu takes on New York!

By No Comments2 min read

It just happened by chance that when we were leaving Virginia, my sister was going to be in New York.  Since New York was the half way point on our way back to Boston, why not stop in the city that never sleeps and get a taste of New York!  I am a New Yorker by birth and it has been a long time since I’ve been back how I could not stop! This stop in New York was meant to be and I was going to take advantage of it!

Lucky for me the hotel my sister was staying at was a dog friendly hotel.  I know I did not do all my homework on traveling with Kudzu. I should have done more research on websites like Bring Fido but so far everything had been working out.  Our journey continued!

Next stop the Nolitan Hotel in downtown Manhattan where Kudzu would enjoy the We T. A. I. L. S. PET PROGRAM- treating Animals In Luxurious Style!  When we got to the hotel, a water bowl was waiting outside for the hotel’s four legged friends. Once inside, Kudzu was given gifts, a dog bowl, treats, a toy and a tag for her collar saying her parents stayed at the Nolitan.  It was nice that they welcomed dogs with opened arms!  Everyone who worked at the hotel could not be nicer.

This was the first time Kudzu stayed in a hotel and what a hotel to stay at for her first hotel stay! The Nolitan is a brand new 55 room boutique hotel with contemporary rooms, north of Little Italy and close to SoHo was a great place for a pit stop. Our room which had floor to ceiling windows had great views of midtown Manhattan and the Williamsburg Bridge.  Kudzu quickly got use to the room as we got ready to take on Manhattan! Soon we would see how dog friendly New York would be and how Kudzu would adjust from being a dog from the suburbs to a city dog! Shopping and restaurants await us!

More on our New York journey in next week!
