As we all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!  Pink is the color of the month from football players to kitchen appliances to even some of the food we purchase at the supermarket!  Our world turns pink.  There will be numerous fundraisers and organizations for you to attend and support. I encourage you to do as much as you can!

I hope you will support by donating to my organization Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer which supports breast cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston! A new link will be available shortly for your convenience but in the meantime please feel free to call the phone number listed here to make a donation!

But for me, I am pink in spirit and live in a pink world where breast cancer awareness goes for 365 days.  I guess what I am trying to say:

Please don’t forget Breast Cancer when October is over!

Where I usually blog about food and breast cancer, this month since it is Breast Cancer Awareness month,  we are going to have guest bloggers  from time to time so you can hear their stories.

This past spring, I was interviewed by Kasia Wassung for an Emerson College publication in regard to Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer.  Kasia, who lost her mother to breast cancer, contacted me because she wanted to be “Pink” this October and we will be sharing her blog with you.

I hope you enjoy our guest bloggers as they share their stories with you.  After reading Kasia’s first entry, I had tears in my eyes and I know her mother would be very proud.
