  •       1 cup (4oz) applesauce
  •       1/2 cup brown sugar
  •       1/4 cup white sugar
  •       1 egg
  •       2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  •       3 medium bananas, mashed – about 1 cup
  •       1/4 cup sour cream
  •       1 cup all-purpose flour
  •       1/2 cup cocoa powder
  •       1 teaspoon baking soda


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x5x3 loaf pan with non-stick spray.
  2. Add the applesauce and sugars to a mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
  3. Beat in the egg, vanilla, banana, and sour cream.
  4. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda.
  5. Pour mixture into prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 70 minutes or until a tester comes out clean. If you under bake this, the center will sink upon cooling.
  7. Let bread cool completely before cutting and serving.
