The stars of tomorrow are the young investigators of today.
Bakes for Breast Cancer will now be funding the up and coming research of young investigators in breast cancer research. Our Medical Advisory Board will direct the best use of our funds raised in the support of the young investigators.
Funds raised in 2015 and 2016 will benefit the research of Heather A. Parsons, MD, MPH. a young investigator at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts.

We are pleased to announce with the success of the First Annual #OfficeBakeSale@bakes4bc that the event will be available for any office to have any month of the year! There is no need to wait till next October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month to have an office bake sale! We think this is reason to celebrate!
Our newest event the Office Bake Sale was met with open arms. We realized why does a company have to wait till next October to hold an Office Bake Sale! We realized there was no good reason to wait!
Now any month of the year you and …
There is a look that anyone who has successfully prepared a dessert wears when presenting his or her creation. It’s the smile of a toddler coming over to show you a particularly intricate Play Doh monster and it radiates a unique pride. Baking is fun because you are given a strict set of chemical and physical rules to which you must adhere, but you are working to create a product that is unique, beautiful, and tastes good to the largest array of taste buds you can.

Out of the blue on December 10, 2012 I received a call from a reporter at the Boston Herald who was writing an article in regard to charitable organizations and how much they gave to the cause they were raising money for. She called to interview me because we gave much of what we received from our event to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston to be used for breast cancer research.
I was interviewed over the phone and then was caught by surprise when she said we would like to have a photographer come over now and take your picture! I …
I must say this every year but the fall flies so quickly by! Last I remember it was summer which led to Halloween, to Thanksgiving and now to Christmas and a New Year to shortly begin.
Last summer I planned a trip to see friends in Italy in November, friends I had not seen in countless years; it too has come and gone too quickly. I am left with beautiful memories and dreams of returning sooner than later!
It has been an incredible year for Bakes for Breast Cancer, Boston Bake for Breast Cancer and our Bakes for Breast Cancer Bake Sale. …
October flew by! Breast Cancer Awareness Month ends today! Pink will no longer be the” it” color! The number of breast cancer events dwindle down but our organization Bakes for Breast Cancer, Inc. works daily as do many other organizations to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer all year long!
Breast Cancer is brought to the forefront in October but we should not forget about it because all year long women and men of all ages are diagnosed with breast cancer.
You don’t have to wait until next October to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer …
We all know that it is so difficult to handle a breast cancer diagnosis and face treatment. Even under the best circumstances when family is the pinnacle of supportive, there is rarely something there for you who knows exactly how you feel. Imagine how much more comforting and understanding someone could be who has gone through exactly what you are facing? How would you find such a support system?
I recently found out that The American Cancer Society runs a fantastic outreach program for breast cancer patients called Reach to Recovery. Through this program, breast cancer patients anywhere from the time …
grilled pizza from chow.com
Summertime means bbq‘s in the back yard every night. So finding new things to throw on the grill is a must, because no matter how tasty the burgers and dogs might be you have to add some variety to the mix.
There are so many things you can grill up for dinner from bbq chicken to swordfish steaks to kabobs of peppers and eggplant. I’ve even heard of grilled watermelon as a substitute for a burger. But one of my favorite things to cook on the grill has to be pizza.
Grilled pizza takes practice. You can’t just do …

Now we kick off our efforts for 2012! Who will participate? What desserts will they serve? You will have to visit our website, Facebook and follow our tweets to find out!
