Boston is in the process of healing. It will take time. Strong and united Boston stands. Listening to Stephen Colbert talk about Boston and who we are, humorous but true! Hearing the national anthem being sung at the Bruin game last night shows our unity and spirit.
The victims and their families are always in our thoughts. It is still unimaginable but the strength of the community will unite everyone. We will be dealing with this for a long time to come. Next year, the Boston Marathon will be bigger and better than ever.

pretzels from pickycook.com
Soft, chewy pretzels have been a favorite snack for hundreds of years. Originating in Germany, pretzels have become a staple at concerts and carnivals around the world. Whether you like them sweet and covered in cinnamon sugar, or savory and salty dipped in mustard, there’s a pretzel out there waiting to be customized to your personal taste buds.
And now you can make homemade pretzels with this convenient little gadget. The Nostalgia Electrics Soft Pretzel Maker will have family and friends in awe. The interchangeable, non-stick plates can either make two large or six small pretzels at one time.
This Mother’s Day, give the gift of the mammogram nag.
Reach out to those mothers and grandmothers that you know haven’t been getting annual mammograms and remind them that it is time for them to get that mammogram they have been putting off for so long.
You will hear the usual excuses for not getting a mammogram:
Too busy…no woman is so busy that she can’t take a half hour to have a life-saving screening
Can’t afford it…Call local Departments of Health for sites that offer free mammograms
Afraid of the outcome…most of us are afraid, but we are more afraid of having breast cancer

I found the cutest little gadget that is perfect for a birthday at any age. Similar to the cake-pop maker that I blogged about many Thursdays ago, the Cake Push Up Tubes …
cake-pops by babycakes
The hottest new trend in cake design puts a spin on the traditional sense of cake itself. At first glance, a cake pop looks nothing like the birthday or wedding cakes we are so used to seeing, and later devouring. But once you taste the cake-on-a-stick there’s no denying the delicious factor.
Similar to Dunkin’ Donuts‘ beloved munchkins, or as they’re more commonly known, donut holes, cake pops are a round, bite-sized sweet served on a stick like a lollypop.
