It’s time for the next installment of Boston summer food festivals. It’s August and things aren’t slowing down a bit. Some of the festivals and tours like SoWa Open Market and the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Food Tour still have dates this month. If you’re looking for something else, keep reading. And remember to click on the links to get more information:

Celebrate the Fruits of Our Ocean: This event is a campaign to educate people on the sustainable seafood available in Massachusetts and features demos by local chefs using fresh seafood. It will be held at the East Boston Farmer’s Market and will also include free tastings.

BostonFest 2013: For the second year in a row, this event will celebrate living and working in the city. Tickets are $30 before fees for general admission and a portion of all ticket sales will go to support Life is good Playmakers. Guests will enjoy games and activities, live bands, and food and drinks from local food trucks and brewers. The event is strictly 21+ – ID and tickets will be needed to enter.

August Moon Festival: Held in Chinatown, this festival, now in its 44th year celebrates Chinese culture. The free event will feature martial arts, lion dancing, traditional dancing, and other cultural performances.

Boston GreenFest: Touted as the region’s largest multicultural environmental music festival, GreenFest celebrates ways we can make our communities a better place and have fun doing it. The event will feature live music, dances, and kids’ activities. There will be a Preview event at the Boston Harbor Islands Pavilion on August 10 from 12pm to 4pm.

Sunset Jazz Festival: The final event in a summer jazz series, this festival features the Darren Barrett Quarter, the Lance Houston Quartet, and the Marco Pignataro Quartet. Tickets are $49 before fees but also include some appetizers and a complimentary cocktail.

MA Brewers Fest:  For $40 per ticket, guests can celebrate the Labor Day weekend at the 4th Annual Mass Brewers Fest. It features over 80 beers from 30 breweries and is a good way for beer lovers to sample favorites and specialty brews.

Boston Arts (Ahts) Festival: This is a good way to end August and begin September. There will be exhibitions of different kinds of art from paintings and sculptures to jewelry, mixed media, and photography. Performance groups will also be present. The event itself is free but some of the artwork will also be on sale.
