How Do Bakes For Breast Cancer Events Work?

Restaurants and Bakeries register for our events, committing to donate proceeds from the sale of a dessert or all desserts during the week of our event.

You Eat Dessert

During the week of our event, you visit a participating location and have a dessert that's part of the event.

That's it!

Research Funded!

The proceed from the dessert you bought is donated to Bakes for Breast Cancer.

We then fund research directly to help find a cure!

Who Does Bakes For Breast Cancer Fund?

Grants for breast cancer research are at an all-time low. That’s why — over the past 22 years — we’ve funded 10 up-and-coming breast cancer researchers, including:

Dr. Rachel Freedman

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Dr. Shom Goel

Dr. Heather Parsons

About Bakes for Breast Cancer

Bakes for Breast Cancer raises money through dessert-oriented events to fund research for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.

Participate with Bakes for Breast cancer as a chef, restaurant, sponsor or volunteer.

Our Mission

No parent should lose a child, no child should lose a parent, no spouse should lose a spouse, and no friend should lose a friend to breast cancer. Our mission is to end cancer by funding cancer prevention and treatment research. The money we raise enables oncologists to start their research. (This is the first step in the process.) From there, they can go to the next step where bigger grants are available.

Our Impact

Over the past 21 years, Bakes For Breast Cancer has made breast cancer research possible. And that’s thanks to everyone who’s baked, eaten, donated, sponsored, and volunteered.

Charitable giving as a religious act or duty is referred to as alms. The name
stems from the most obvious expression of the virtue of charity.
