Every year La Petite France Café in Hyannis participates in Boston Bakes they select a favorite dessert of someone they know who has been touched by breast cancer.

They take Boston Bakes to heart each year and put a name, a face, a story and a dessert to our event and they make it their own event!  It gives Boston Bakes a personal touch which takes Boston Bakes to another level.

The first year they participated, La Petite France Cafe made Nana’s sugar cookies in honor of Heidi’s grandmother.  Last year for Boston Bakes 2010, they made macaroons in honor of a long time employee’s mother who was also a long time customer and was diagnosed with breast cancer a month after the end of Boston Bakes 2009.

For Boston Bakes 2011, La Petite France Café will make a chocolate chip cookie a favorite of their good friend Marlene Johnston who lost her battle with breast cancer.

So visit La Petite Café in Hyannis often during the week of Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer, May 2-8 and take home some of Marlene’s favorite chocolate chip cookies and enjoy some while you are at the Café as well!
