The fall is quickly passing! Thanksgiving will soon be here before we know it and it is time to think about holiday parties! Whether you choose to go out to a restaurant to have your party or do one at home, time is now upon us to start thinking about it and to start planning it!

Last year a friend who does not bake was invited to a holiday party where she needed to bring a dessert and asked me to bake the dessert for her! Of course I said yes and when she told me about the party I thought what a brilliant idea it was!

Apparently the house she was going to for a holiday party had a connection to Betty Crocker! All the guests were asked to bring a dessert made from a Betty Crocker recipe. A dessert party made with Betty Crocker’s recipes and mixes! How fun especially after I went on to Betty Crocker’s website! A huge array of recipes awaited and I could have easily spent a day looking at the site and recipes.

My friend already had the dessert she wanted me to make picked out! As a lover of peanut butter and chocolate she selected layered peanut butter bars. The recipe was easy to make and I made two, one for myself and one for my friend to take to her Betty Crocker Party! Why make two? How could I bake something and not taste it? I could not so I baked two! I am glad I did! The Betty Crocker layered peanut butter bars were a success at the party and at my house as well.

How was the party, a huge success! A dessert party where guests bring recipes made with Betty Crocker’s products is a great party concept! Easy and filled with surprises since you don’t know what your guests will be bringing. Turns out there were no dessert duplicates at the party and a great time was had by all!

Here is the recipe I made:
