Recently I had the opportunity to go for lunch at Daily Catch on the waterfront. My sister was visiting from out of town and it was fun for us to see another part of Boston that has changed so dramatically since she lived here over 16 years ago. It felt like we were on vacation just being on the waterfront.

After lunch we took a walk along the harbor on the beautiful walkway passed Louis and Sam’s at Louis, passed Seaport Convention Center and the Seaport Hotel, a long time participant of Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer.

Then we came to 4 new restaurants, some opened some in the process of opening right on the waterfront that the walkway takes you to. On the day we were visiting, the back of the restaurants opened up and you could sit and enjoy the view. Legal Harborside was busy as was Jerry Remy’s and Temazcal Tequila Cantina where we stopped for a little tequila.  I loved the menu and tequila selection all on an ipad. It was so much fun to use and it was great to see all the tequila’s rated. Any place that has Don Julio 42 is great in my book. I tried my sister’s favorite tequilas Partida Anejo but unfortunately we ran out of time to have a second tequila. Temazcal Tequila Cantina is on my list to go back to soon!

We had to head back to the financial district and stumbled upon a water taxi that was just about to leave for the airport. We took the water taxi to Long Wharf via Logan Airport. It was a great day to be on the water and the boat ride was so much fun and a great way to end the perfect afternoon.  I can’t wait to go back!
